I've had this account for a long time, and previously used it for reading fanfic and leaving sporadic feedback. I'm trying to do better in the feedback department. I posted a few entries over a year ago, but had to take everything down because of personal reasons. Now, though, I'm back and ready to actually participate in fandom and in journaling. I'd like to learn to write, to find my voice as a writer, and this seems like a good place to do that. Everyone I've met in the LJ community so far has been friendly and warm and encouraging, and made me feel right at home.
This journal will, eventually, contain adult material, and the majority of it will be homoerotica. Consider yourself warned.
I am an often-amorous, quite kinky, happily-newly-married, semi-well-adjusted, middle-aged, productive, coffee-drinking, sarcastic, bawdy, loving, creative, wife, friend, mother, daughter, grandmother, who chooses not to define herself by any of the previous 'roles' and attempts to be an individual in her own right. I consider gardening an art form. I consider my husband's body my playground. I consider my life as a work in progress. I believe in karma, and that what you create in this world comes back to you times three. I believe God has a sense of humor and loves us patiently and unconditionally.
So. There. I think that's about as accurate a bio as I can do.
Oh. I almost forgot. I am a fangirl from way back when, before I even knew such a thing existed, from when I used to write Doc Savage and Tarzan fics when I was in 5th grade. Currently, I am only active in Stargate Atlantis, and by active I mean I read voraciously and have recently starting taking baby steps into writing and beta'ing. I'm not sure that my love for this fandom will ever die a natural death. Unless, somehow, Joe and David are ever in another show together, and even then? I'll still love Atlantis.
I also am a fan of NCIS and House and Due South. I'd like to watch Merlin, but haven't had the time. I watch The Closer and Deadliest Catch and Eastwick, the Food Network, ice hockey every chance I get (Go 'Canes!), and my love for baseball is epic.
